Sian in B&B Heaven

Sian James has launched her new Bed & Breakfast business in Carmarthenshire. Castell y Graig is now trading as a B&B 4 star with Swimming Pool.

The new start business has enjoyed support from Dai Nicholas that included pre start market research, networking and identifying key mile stones within the business to full marketing plan with budget costings and action plan.

The work included conventional marketing elements but more imprtantly key e marketing and partnership identification by offering joint holiday packages with other local services including golf courses, attractions and pamper services.

Dai worked closely with Web and Brand developers Twist Media to create the new brand identity, web site and corporate print items.

Forest Tented Lodges Launched.

Forest Tented Lodges the first holiday experience of its kind in the UK has been launched at Marros Sands near Pendine West Wales. Rob Thomas who has developed the business after first enjoying Tented Lodge Holidays in Africa has brought 'Safari Walking Holidays' into Wales.

To call it simply camping would be doing this experience a grave injustice, for you have silver service, hot showers, breakfast in bed, and beach BBQ's, not to mention guided walks and tours of the West Wales Coastline. The beds, are well, beds! and you have what can be described as hotel comforts but with only the thickness of a tent between you and nature you, well, you get close to it!

Nicholas Marketing helped Rob Thomas develope the package ideas and communicate them through e marketing research which included Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and a sound link strategy and listings on index sites.

Dai Nicholas also used media contacts through the WTB PR section who secured Robs business articles in the national Observer Sunday suppliment, The Daily Mail and various weekend travel titles resulting in the web site visits rocketing along with his enquiries.

Eynons of St Clears realise new vision.

Eynons of St Clears one of the UK's top food halls has just unveiled new plans to drive the company into greater turn over for 2007.

A new state of the art chill and cold storage and preparation facility currently being built at the rear of the St Clears retail premises will allow the company to capitalise on its manufacturing spare capacity by increasing awareness within the SA1 post code area of its FREE delivery service. It also offers it the opportunity to build on its early succes in online sales by being able to satisfy a greater demand that its new web site and on line shop will be sure to create.

Knab Rock Mumbles the new star of Swansea Bay.

The Knab Rock Restaurant with rooms has just begun development in the tourism honey pot of Mumbles.

Craig Thorburn who is heading up the the new project hopes to launch the high quality sea food restaurant and boutique accommodation some time in May 2007. Dai Nicholas through his his contract with Venture Wales, helped Craig produce a detailed business plan which included an innovative marketing plan.

Dai was also involved in the product development of the venture and put the company in touch with the highly acclaimed TV Chef Dudley Newbury. Dudley is currently helping Craig add some differentiation and unique selling points to the 'welsh cuisine' menu with a touch of the mediteranean.

Emma Davey Estate Agents have benefited from the well developed networks of Nicholas Marketing.

Through the Venture Wales 'new business starts scheme' Dai Nicholas was able to help Emma in all aspects of her business start. But more importantly once the initial advice was over Dai was able to put Emma in touch with his numerous business contacts.

Timber Frame Wales get on board.

Timberframe Wales Ltd, of Betws in Ammanford have now signed to the Nicholas Marketing services by way of the Venture Wales 'post start business scheme'.

Anthony Evans of Timberframe Wales aims to develop close working relationships to realise a project to increase 'direct sales' of Timberframe panels to building and property devopment companies.

Previously the company only developed panels for its own needs and this will see the company increase its turn over, staffing and its market reach. The company is currently working with housing and property developers in the Isle of Wight, Wales and the South of England.

Norton House Hotel in Mumbles recently bought by Swansea entrepreneur Martin Taylor has recently expanded its rooms to 20 from 16 and upgraded its offering.

Martin has benefitted from the Post Start Venture Wales scheme where Dai Nicholas was appointed adviser to produce a detailed busines and marketing plan and further help in the product development of function and leisure packages including golf.

Bryn Meadows Hotel, Spa and Golf Course have signed a new one year deal to secure the services of Nicholas Marketing.

The 4 star experience run by brothers Gary and Steve Mayo have recognised the need to 'put Bryn Medows on the map'. They have entrusted Nicholas Marketing to create a differentiation between Bryn Medows and its lofty neighbours The Vale and Celtic Manor.

Nicholas Marketing client Bryn Meadows Hotel . Golf and Spa have launched their new brand design and web site.

Under the advisory of Dai Nicholas a full marketing audit of the business took place and action points agreed by Directors Steve bnd Gary Mayo to re invigorate the marketing of the 42 room 4 star 'Boutique Resort'.

The tired branding was re designed and the simplified Hotel . Golf . Spa introduced to give the clear message of the three dynanmics of the business that give it 'Boutique Resort' status.

Dai also came up with a new narrative that encompasses the friendly feel of the business and this is encapsulated by the creative strapline 'Tee off to the land of nod'.

Simon has just completed his business degree at Cardiff University and comes with some business experience already under his belt having worked throughout his studies within the engineering, catering and tourism industries.
